If you’re a skincare junkie then I’m sure you know the importance of protecting your skin barrier.

When your skin barrier is strong, it protects your skin from sun ray damage and external stressors coming from polluted air or allergens. By now you’ve probably heard of several ingredients that protect your skin barrier like, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, etc. However, I bet you’ve never heard of Schisandra Chinensis—the secret ingredient that protects your skin from environmental stressors.

What it is

Schisandra Chinensis, commonly known as magnolia berry or the ‘five-flavored fruit’, is a fruit that possesses the five basic flavors: sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and spicy. In Korea, this fruit is called ‘Omija’ and was used in ancient oriental herbal medicine. Currently, omija is popularly consumed as a tea drink as well. This fruit can also be found in other Asian countries.

URBALYS®

Greentech France, a pioneer in plant biotechnology, incorporated Schisandra Chinensis extract to create a global anti-pollution ingredient. URBALYS® contains a high content of lignans (a large group of polyphenols) and schisandrin. Schisandrin has been demonstrated to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and adaptogenic properties.

Skin Benefits

URBALYS® acts like a double defense mechanism, fighting off free radicals, inflammation, and strengthening the skin barrier. It also restores balance, brings radiance to the skin, and creates a smooth texture.

When Recommends

Our SUPERWHEN For Men skincare line contains URBALYS® to help the urban men protect their skin barrier from micro dust, environmental stressors and pollution. We included this ingredient in our men’s line to help prevent skin irritation while cleansing and/or shaving and putting on other products on their face afterward.
